I was hesitant to get this watch due to the price and the 'uncomplicated' nature of it. But after ACTUALLY checking it out and putting it on, it's deemed quite an amazing time piecee. The fact that there's no other watch like made it very unique; on the other hand, the plain, simple, sleek, and smooth character of the watch made it indescribable. It seems ordinary, yet YOU know you are wearing the hardest thing on earth! It's like an Audi to a Buggatti, a Kenmore to a Subzero, and a Coach to a Hermes. Of which the Rado v10k is the latter of those comparisons. Well, put it this way, if someone get it as a gift, he/she will feel S*P*E*C*I*A*L because you can say there's nothing else like it on earth/in the universe! Really! btw, it's GORGEOUS too =)

This is probably the only nice watch that I can wear without anything happening. Most of my watches I would only wear if I know I'm not doing anything too exciting that would damage it as I like to keep them in mint condition because then I can always trade them in for a good value. This one looks great and is low maintenance since it is the hardest watch in the world. I try to scratch it and crack it all day, but the darn thing isn't affected by anything. I can probably even play sports with it. I may try to it with tennis or racquetball, but that's really pushing it and I'm not sure if I can risk this amount of money. This watch has won many design awards so it looks great and is low maintenance unlike your wife. Simply amazing!
Follow-up:
I took a chance and wore this while doing my favorite sports. A hard day of skiing and snowboarding - not a scratch. Wore it playing golf, tennis, and racquetball - not a scratch. Then for the ultimate test: wore it while doing downhill mountain biking in which I crashed several times in rocks and dirt and bushes - good as new! Amazing. What is cool is that this thing is so expensive and fine and beautiful - nothing like a g-shock or timex - and still it comes out without a scratch or any damage. Simply amazing!
